“This latest gold accreditation is a testament to our progress in our sustainability journey, and commitment to becoming a world leader as a responsible and trusted supplier of essential industrial components,” said Jennifer Spence, ESG Director at Essentra Components. “There is always more to be done, but this score underpins that we are heading in the right direction and doing our best for the benefit of both our customers and the planet.”

The EcoVadis gold medal is awarded to companies in the top 5% (95th percentile or higher) of all assessed organizations. Essentra received a score of 77 out of 100, evaluated across 21 sustainability criteria aligned with international Sustainable Development standards. These criteria are organized within four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Essentra’s achievement follows other recent sustainability milestones, including an A-rating for climate action, a B-rating for water management, and a B-rating for forest stewardship from the Climate Disclosure Project. The company also reported that 20 of its sites have achieved zero waste to landfill status, representing 67% of its in-scope facilities.
